The Millac salt works
In an unspoilt natural setting, discover how a salt works, the process of forming coarse salt and flower of salt and the beauty of the Breton marshes in the Pays de Retz.
The products of the Millac saltworks are harvested by hand in the salt marshes of Bourgneuf-en-Retz by salt workers who have inherited a long tradition of salt production. In an environment where egrets, grey herons and sacred ibises live side by side, you'll be seduced by the thousand mirrors of water formed by earthen levees and interlocking basins.
